In the recent case of SAS Institute Inc v World Programming Ltd [2010] EWHC 1829 (Ch), the High Court has provisionally ruled that World Programming Limited did not infringe copyright in software by developing a program which emulated its functionality.

Lexmark sues importers of after-market printer cartridges
(Evergeek) – Lexmark International, Inc. has filed a patent infringement complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) against 24 companies engaged in the manufacture, importation and sale of replacement cartridges for various Lexmark laser printers and multifunction devices.

Detroit law firm Dickinson Wright PLLC has expanded to Las Vegas by combining with Las Vegas firm Gibson Lowry Burris LLP. Steven Gibson is the CEO of Righthaven LLC, a firm that has partnered with the Review-Journal in filing copyright infringement lawsuits.
